Traveling back from Mari's house we finally set off towards the lead on Critoth's Lair. After all, a dragon of his size should have an equally sizeable hoard of treasure, by nature of law.
We arrive upon it to find the cave overrun by Kobolds left and right. Though, it seems these Kobolds have no interest in fighting us, too busy with the war amongst themselves to pay us any attention.
By the time they were done with their own bloodied brawl, there was but 2 or 3 of them left, easy pickings. From what we made of the last Kobold, it seems they were fighting for their Rozag.
Great, another one. How many of these Dragonborn generals are there?
We ransack his office of maps and trinkets, finding their battleplan to poison towns dotted around the land; with Bellthorne seemingly the most popular hotspot on our quest list...
...and then stumble upon two individual Rozags fighting amongst themselves. A common theme today. As they argue whose accomplishments were more worthy, a simple illusory taunt sets off another civil war; and our party starts picking targets off the side.
Rozag of the Night, Rozag of the Field, now two dead Rozags by the blades we yield.
Not finding much on the bodies of the Kobolds and Rozags, Alisha surmises there must be a hidden hoard within the cave, and would you have it - an illusion wall crumbles before us - finally revealing Critoth's stash.
Seems we've got some more shopping to do, and a lot of questing left in Bellthorne.
